Andy is born (in 1955) and bred near London, Britain. He hated school. He had his first side car when he was 16 (it included a L-plate). His mum used to say about Andy; 'Here comes trouble!'
He went through a succession of British bikes (including a Vincent) and has build his own Harley chopper. He did a lot of engineering, technical stuff and had build his own house all by him self. He travelled through Canada, the States and Mexico on a Triumph Tiger (2000).
At the moment he is building his own side car. He is always thinking about the next bike or side car outfit and likes to spent a lot of time in the garage. If not, he is on the road.
And he loves beans, specially the ones from 'Heinz'.

Maya is born in 1959, grew up in Holland and worked for a long time with addicted people and their families. She is riding a bike since she was 19, started with a Harley 1945  Flat Head in a Norton Feather-bed frame (no driving licence then) and at the moment she owns for over 20 years a 1973 Harley Electra Glide. She has been a member of Harley Club Twente for over 25 years. Maya learned to ride a side car on the wrong side of the road 4 years ago.
She travelled in Europe, to Australia, Jordan and Canada.
She collects travel stories, reads a lot, likes to work with stained glass and writes sometimes for bike magazines.

Over 5 years ago we met at a bike rally in Sterling, underneath the Wallace Monument. It ended up in living together 'in the middle of nowhere' near Dumfries in Scotland.

Both are infected with the bike- and travel virus since a long time. Both ride solo bikes and side cars. We like to travel  off- road as much as we can and prefer to camp in the wild.

Curiosity and side car madness is our drive to explore the America's. Our old BMW 100 GS took us through South America from November 2005 till April 2007 and that trip enriched our travel experiences.
In January 2008 we went to Europe to visit some winter rallies. And it was so cold, the tin food and toothpaste were frozen.

This time we wills start side carring in November 2008 and we might be back somewhere in 2009/2010.

Andy and Maya.
